Front tires on M

I finally got new front tires on my M. I was getting worried about the old ones flying apart on one of my trips to Murphy(30 miles RT) We have a parade in 3 weeks.
Question is: I mounted the rims on the outside of the wheels this time. Before I had them on the inside. They are now approximately 4-5 inches further apart. I drove it on the road for several miles to seat the bolts and it seems easier to steer. What say all you experts.??? Henry

A hard surfaced road is not a good indicator. Put that M out in the soft dirt and you will find it steers a LOT harder with the wheels set out. Other than steering effort required, there is no harm done. IH designed that system to work well no matter what the spacing is.

Have it set up that way on my h also, No harm done, keeps the mud from building up a little bit also
