Does someone know how to convert the baler wheels to car wheels? And what size car rim is needed?

We had both original rims but one was lost in a flash flood and we are unable to locate a replacement.

Thanks!

Why would you want to use car wheels? If it has the old 8 bolt wheels like a 45, they arent to hard to find. If it has 4 or 6 bolt wheels, they would standard ag wheels.
I have some of each in Ohio.

We called several ag dealers looking for a replacement including an IH dealer. We have the manual for this baler and it calls for a 5.5-16 4 ply ribbed implement tire on the right side and has a 4 bolt pattern. We explained this to each person we talked to. No one ever suggested that it might be an ag wheel. We just kept getting told that they didn"t carry anything like that. There must have been some misunderstanding.

If you can"t tell, we are pretty new to farming and farm implements. We have been purchasing implements as they have come along affordable to us. We paid $100 for this baler, a blade, and front end loader. The baler needs to be cleaned up as it has been sitting for some time but it does work.

We are in the process of negotiating the terms of our first real farm! I am sure that I will be on here with a lot of questions.

We are going to try an 4 bolt ag wheel on the baler. Thanks for your help!!

Any tire dealer that handles ag tires should be able to order rims if they don't have them in stock. Be prepared for sticker shock. A rim and tire will cost more than you paid for the whole baler!!!

Find yourself a local farm equipment salvage yard. You can probably buy the rims by the pound. 4 and 6 hole ag rims are as common as belly buttons.

Regular used car and truck tires can be used to save money there. Close enough is close enough on size.
