Simple Question

On a wet sleeve, the outside of the sleeve is in direct contact with the coolant. A dry sleeve, there is no contact between the sleeve and the coolant.

I think it refers to whether there is water directly on the outside of the sleeve or if there is part of the block between the sleeve and the water.

a wet sleeve is surrounded by the coolant. a dry sleeve is pressed into a bore and is a lot thinner than the wet sleeve. a wet sleeve has o rings on the btm. to seal the coolant from running into the oil pan.
