H and 4 series gas tanks

There appears to be a baffle inside my I-4 gas tank. Do all the H and 4 series tanks have this baffle or was it an Industrial thing. Also could someone post a pick of an unmolested filler neck? mine seems to be buggered up where the cap seals against the tank. Does anyone make a die or tool to reshape the seal area to original or do I just build my own? I did find the wings from several gas caps inside the tank looks like someone had issues with getting the cap off.

All of the H and 4 series tractors have that baffle. In fact, the tanks are all the same. IH did have a tool that would straighten out the filler neck. I'm sure someone has one somewhere.

An H tank will not work on a 4 series with a belt pulley drive. The hole for the sediment bowl is more towards the front of the tank than the H.

if you are looking for the tool to reform the necks, one of the guys on the tractor tales board can get them made by a machinist. i think they are about 175.00. put a post down there if you are interested.

Here's a picture of the filler neck off of my cub. It is the same and is in perfect, and i mean perfect condition. It is basicly on a tractor that never got used.
