DD R-2-4 TA 1-3-5Ok On my 1974 666: When I pull it out of reverse into neutral its just fine. But when i want to move it over to 4th or 5th gear, I seem to have a hard time moving it over. You have to pull extremely hard to get over to the right side. And now I'm also starting to have to give the TA a harder shove too. What I want to know is, what is the problem? IS there an area I can grease to make these problems go away? |

| | The pivot for the TA handle has no provision for greasing. Some of your favorite unstickum juice followed by liberal oiling should fix this. On the gear shift, there is a grease fitting inside the battery box near the top. Maybe some unstickum juice before greasing. Also, make sure there is no excessive slop in the linkage and that it is adjusted properly. While you are at it, adjust the engine clutch and the TA linkage BY THE BOOK. Close doesn't count here. |
