1206 starting

i have to use ether everyday i start my 1206 even when it is warm out. is there an easier way to get it started?

I have a 3444 that was the same way. fiddled with it for years. Had the starter rebuilt twice but still started the same. Finally found a auto electric shop that new what they were doin. They rebuilt the starter and holy moly no more starting problems. Check the amp draw on the starter when cranking the engine.

IF you are using Either then You have a problem BIG TIME , as the DT 361 when in good shape will start on her own down below freezinf with out either . So here is what all could be wrong , (1) she is low on compression due to broken rings caused by the use of either or just old age. (2) then valves have settled to deep in the head and this is causing low compression , (3) the injectoin pump is getting weak and has low craking pressure and not cracking the injectors correctly at cranking speed, (4) the injectors are not breaking at the correct pressure and have a defective spray pattern , (5) your batterys are not up to snuff and or you have to light of cables to allow propper amp carrying capacity , (6) your started is draging and needs to be rebuilt . It is nothing that a deep check book will not cure .
