Leaking Manifold Stud

I posted earlier about a water leak coming from my manifold stud on my C Farmall. I had just added water to the radiator after a complete engine restoration, and water started dripping from the region of one of the studs. Some of you replied that it might be coming from the stud hole and not a cracked head.

I removed the manifold and a couple of studs, and sure enough, water was gushing from the stud holes, and there was no evidence of water in the manifold or exhaust ports, etc. Careful inspection suggests that the stud holes go all the way into the water jacket as part of the casting and not as an abberation or resulting from wear. The one stud that was leaking looked like it had worn threads. Thankfully, this will be an easy and inexpensive fix.

I just wanted to post this so it would be on record in the archives (as I couldn't find a related thread when I searched before posting my question), and thank those who responded to my post for helping me identify the problem.
