450 steering and sheet metal??

I took the hydraulics off my 450 to save weight and get rid of what is not needed for pulling but as a result the gauge cluster sheet metal and steering pedestal have nothing to mount to. I am curious if the smta steering pedestal will mount onto the 450 so that would be mounted instead of fabbing something up? If so I can fab up a new piece sheet metal instead of using the original gauge sheet metal. Clear as mud right? If a smta pedestal will fit does anyone have one?

I have a 400 lid on my SMTA because I wanted the 400 fast hitch without mickey-mouse adaptors. I am running the original SMTA steering post. Two holes line up but the third hole, if you want it, has to be drilled into the lid and a spacer installed underneath the column flange. Or you can make a new and larger cover plate for the vacant shifter hole and bolt the column to that.

I have an extra NOS H column. I would have to check to see if it is the same as SMTA. I doubt it because I think the angle of the bearing is different. But I have an extra bearing. Don't know if it is H or M.

where exactly does the smta column bolt down to? I figured it would be the extra shifter hole but I haven't found an exact picture yet.
