Super M with Shepard diesel?

Can someone enlighten me about these tractors, saw a service manual today at an old IH store that had stacks of manuals for sale, I saw this one, had no time to look thru it but it peaked my interest.

Any info would be appreciated.
 
I watched a tractor show on RFDTV a while back and Shepard built engines and tractors. They had a kit that they sold to put diesels in to standard M"s but it wasn"t real popular becasue the shepard kit had less power than the M gas so it wasn"t really cost effective. They had a whole line of tractors too. I think thats what they said if I remember correctly, Probably not though.

Yes, I know a guy who has an M with a Sheppard Diesel.

As was stated below, there were kits available to do it.
 
I believe the Shepard deisel had to be started with ammo shell. I seen a new one demo-ed years ago. Looked quite a bit like a WC Allis tin wise.
