I have a Int. 340 utility with a Wagner Iron Works loader. I can not find any where to check the hydraulic fluid level or to add to it. Any help would be great.

Is this front pump loader,If it it's on the tube frame there is vented fill plug as the tube frame is also the reservior. Can't remember where level check is. Hope this helps. Scott

The level plug is under the clutch rod by the left foot rest on the tractor and th fill plug is by gear shift if you are talking about the tractor.

Is it possible that the Wagner loader pump drew its fluid from the 10 or so gallons of Hy-Tran in the rear frame and clutch housing? To find out, trace back the inlet hose of the pump.

I have recently installed two pumps on my 400. Both draw tractor fluid from the tractor.

The hydraulic reservoir on a normal 340 is in the transmission and rear end.

The hydraulic reservoir on a normal 400 is in the pedestal under the dashboard. Wardner's 400 is far from normal :)

Thank you all for the info.
The big quistion now becomes is the Hydro fluid in the trans the same as in the loader. I do know where to check the trans fluid as well as fill it. I checked it and it is a different color than the loader fluid milkey so i know I should replace. So clearly I am not sure what way to go based on the responses I have gotten. I will try the suggestions I have. Any other suggestions would be appricated. Thanks again

Again thank you all. I found a Wagner Iron site on the web. The Hydraulic fluid is filled at the vented fill plug as Scott wrote. To check if it is filled you measure from the fill pipe and the fluid should be 4 inches below the base of the filler pipe.
