Rebuilt ipto housing bearings shafts etc. When pto is on works purfect ,when in off position there is a sort of whine internaly. seems to loud to be normal. All input appreciated.

That whine is normal for that unit,book calls for 10 weight oil I use 30 weight it lasts years longer.Scott

That is normal since the gears inside are turning all the time. If you are not using the PTO, shut it off using the seasonal disconnect underneath the center section.
