any tips for rebuilding 863 ih corn head?

When you replace the stalk roll knifes make sure you get them set right.

Replace the knifes and the gathering chains and it will work like anew head.

When replacing the knives, put a thin film of grease on the roll before installing the knife--keeps moisture/ corn sap from getting in between & causing oxidation.
If you are replacing gathering chains, take a good look at the sprockets for wear. If worn badly, replace them--will save wear on the new chains.
Dust isn't a problem right now is it Gary? 2.8 inches total.
