1973 Farmall 140

What's my tractor worth? 1973 Farmall 140, runs beautiful, good tires, good clutch, good brakes, always starts right up. I'm in Maine (if location effects price). Thanks

Sad to say we lost our off-set Farmall 'Tractor Guru' last night. 'Hughie' as I learned from a recent post could have walked you through was you have there. Maybe you have already checked, but if not, I suggest the archives and also, on this page under 'Research & Info' there is a 'Tractor Values' link. I saw your posting on the Photo Ads; my suggestion, list as much information as possible. This suggestion could save you lots of phone time and others as well; hey, it's free so why not make the most of the keyboards. Folks who just state the obvious, as seen in the picture, aren't making the most of a free-good thing. I can see it's a tractor/brand/row-crop/wide front end, give the the poop! Good luck.

No headlights? No hydraulic lift linkage front or rear? Needs seat cushions, battery box and lid? "Rigged up" hydraulic pump line? Does it have a drawbar? I don't mean to sound negative, but those things really add up and matter a lot in determining value.
Perhaps $2,000 +/- if it runs as good as you say. I don't know the impact of your location, but generally speaking, if you are in "a corner" of the nation, it isn't a plus either......

I agree with Mike the tractor still needs a lot of work to make it a nice tractor. 2000 at best if it runs good. It looks like it was yellow once before it was painted and it has no decals. Sorry i dont mean to run it down but it looks like it had a hard life..Erik..

no offense taken, I appreciate the input. I listed it in the classified section for $1,750, I fully agree with everything that was said, she's a good runner, but, after 36yrs of work, she's a little ragged looking.
