Oil Pump Removal on a 22-36

I removed the two machine screws on the pump mount.
Of course, I also removed the oil line, coming out of the pump.
The pump will not drop.
Could be rust (sat idle for 50 or 60 years).
I'm wondering if the union between the helical gear on the pump shaft and the helical gear on the camshaft could be hanging me up that much.
I have been trying to gently pry on both side of the mount, but no go.
Thanks,
Tom

its just stuck in there.get a brass punch and see if you can hit it side ways so that it will turn in the housing then once you get it turning you should be able to work it downwards.if the oil pump shaft is siezed also like the engine then your in trouble, because that drive gear needs to turn so it can come out.
