What to look for on Super H

I have a late model Super H, that use to have a trip bucket loader on it. It is fairly hard to steer. I would like to fix it this winter. What do I look for that would make this so hard to steer? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Probably need to rebuild the bolster assembly, but you might start by just making sure everything is greased. An H or Super H without a loader is relatively easy to steer. Power steering is nice, but you don't really need it.

Agreed. My H with the loader on it isn't bad to steer. Without it is easy as can be.

Don't know what you are expecting. Wit a loader your H ain't gonna steer like your car. Don't expect to be able to turn it standing still but rolling it should steer without giving you a hernia. If you can't seem to steer it at all something is probably wrong. A bad bearing on the front of the shaft will make it steer hard, Worn worm gears, lack of lubrication and if the tires are set wide will make it steer hard.

If its a narrow front pull the vertical steering shaft out of the front bolster and check the thrust bearing. Front tractor weight rests on it and a good to bad bearing changes steering effort a good bit. Removing the parts to get it out will let you inspect the other parts of steering.

Guys, thanks for the info. but, like I said in the description It DID have a loader on it. It is now WITHOUT the loader.
