1066 Black Stripe shutting down

My 1066 black stripe runs great and all of a sudden shuts off like someone shut her down. I changed the fuel filters and blew up through the tank to remove any trash that may have been blocking the fuel. It ran fine for about a week and its doing it again. Besides the chance of trash blocking the fuel in the tank, what might it be? Also, is it possible to put a sediment bowl on it?

A bad fuel hose, the one between the filters and the pump can cause that kind of a problem. Replace it with original hose, not a made up hose of any kind! The hoses crack on the inside and act just like a check valve and restrict or close the fuel flow off.

I was just thinking about you today. Haven't seen you post here in a coon's age. Reason I was thinkin' was a picture you had of your H with a grapple loader on it. Any chance you can either post that again or e-mail it to me? Was wondering also who made that loader? Thanks. Sorry to hijack the post.

Next time it shuts down cool the head on the injection pump. Then see if it starts back up. It'sbeen along time but I seem to remember something called fuel button heating up and shutting down we poured water on the fuel head and it start 1086,5088,5288s

Oh heck yeah,

That little H is one of my favorite tractors and I use it all the time. Little guy thinks he's a cross between a 560 and a really mad badger. :>)

Loader is a Farmhand F-11. The only thing is when using an H for a loader tractor, ya have to be sure and strut 'er up, because they've been known to break in two.

water over the injector pump is a trick I used to restart the 190 and 7580 ACs we had after a stall. Roosa Master pumps.

My 656 did that once. The return line to the tank was plugged. Yes, That will shut them down.

Thanks Allan! I really liked that rig too. Doubt I would ever have the juice to lift something REAL heavy REAL high with it but it looks like it could be handy for some smaller bale moving jobs. Did you have to make those grapples or did they come available for that loader?

My 966 did that a couple of times. Found a piece of what looked like a rolled up piece of paint laying in the bottom of the fuel tank, Drained the tank and blew cleaned with compressed air. If I could just get it to quit burning so much fuel.
