hydro 70 serial no.

Does anybody out there in IH land know of an accurate source for serial nos.? Trying to find the year of my 70. The YT list didn't look close to my s.n.

Well my book shows they Made them in 1973 to 1976 Serial no. start in 73 at 7501 and in 74 they start at7570 in 75 they start at8681 in 76 they start at 10094 ,hope that helps you.

My serial no. reads 2680006U007975. Just doesn't seem to match anything I've found. Maybe a late 76 model?

read the number after the "U"
you have one with the new fangled serial number system. the numbers before the U are some type of option coding system.
