How do i tell if i have a pressure or non pressure coolant system? Running hot (steaming out of cap), and what temp thermostat.

If pressure cap it will have a rubber seal on a disk with a spring behind it, and external flange that locks the cap in place. A non pressure system will have no spring and internal flange like the gas tank. (I think yours is pressurized 7psi). Have it tested at a garage.
Do not use a higher pound cap. The coolant (50/50 antifreeze, or 100% premixed)) level should be 2 knuckles down from top of neck. Definately not full like a modern car. There is no external expansion tank on these. JimN
