Frozen Cub Front Axle

Hi, my Cub front axle is frozen in the wide position. I would like to move it to the narrow position but I cant get it to budge. Does anybody have any tricks to get it free? Thanks, Lou

have the tie rods removed and then put a jack in between the axels to push them out, use a pice of channel iron as a spacer between the center cast and the spindel top. (the channel locks right in the top of the axel well) you may need to heat the out side of the axle up or may not. when you get the axels to slide out clean them up really well both parts and put never seize on them. i have moved 3 front like this and it seems to be the best way that i have done it.
