McCormick International W6

Have just got interested in these tractors. Have an AO6 that I have restored and now want to do a AW6.
What I need to know is what horsepower are the motors of both.
Any other help/info on these would be great.

Those tractors would have the same engine as a Farmall M. The M was rated at 36 horsepower at the belt or PTO from the factory. Most of those tractors have been rebuilt with the "over-bore" kit which will put the horsepower up to about 46.

The results of Nebraska Test#355 September 16-27, 1940 for the W-6 gasoline tractor were; 36.97 belt horsepower, 32.48 drawbar horsepower, and 4777 pounds pulled at 1.97 mph. Most W-6 engines have been upgraded over the years to produce more power.
