2444 w/ Loader Hydraulic capacity

2444 w/ 2000 series loader & front crank mounted hydraulic pump. My son and I have just flushed the old water contaminated hydraulic fluid out of everything on the tractor and what a job that was. What is the capacity / how many gallons of Hytran needed to refill?

With front mounted pump and without draft control: 14 gallons.

With front mounted pump and with draft control: 17 gallons.

Owen is right, fillup both the top lift box and the rest in the tranny/rearend. The excess in the top lift box should overflow into the tranny/rearend sump.

I assume you pulled the top plate off the rockshaft housing under the seat and cleaned that mess out. Assuming your 2444 has one. It will hold 2 or 3 gallons. It should refill by the pump if the plate is back on. Run it for a while and then check the level again.

With my Son"s help we removed the lift housing, drain covers, tranny cover, and flushed all lines, power steering components, and cylinders on the loader. It was quite a mess several large pieces of cardboard, a lot of rolls of paper towels, and 4 bags of oil dry. I"m pretty sure we got all the water contaminated fluid out.
