Super A Carb question

Zenith carburetor # 52499 9752 DB
The carb is missing plug #16825D (gasoline) (main jet passage)
OR
adjuster # 53786D Valve, needle Main jet adj. (distillate or kerosine)
Parts list shows both, but obviously only need one.
Would I need just the plug as it will only burn gas? Thanks for any assistance, Tom/Idaho
Serial # on tractor is 252960 which I believe in 1948 Super A.
 

The adjustable one will allow you to fine tune the fuel mix to suit the way you use the tractor. In other words, if the tractor sees only light use, you can lean out the mix for greater fuel economy, and then if you decide you do want to work it hard, you can then adjust for a richer mix to give better power and performance.
