Hmmmmm. A fool and his money are soon parted. FWIW, Charlie Burgh's tractos salvage yard is near me. I spend lots of time wandering through, cherry pickin' parts. He charges $100 per wheel. Now, since there were so many different flavors of the steel wheels, I suppose that rare ones would be much higher...........

Remember your own situation........ Trying to feed/care for a family but still want to keep up your hobby (sometimes on a shoestring) and stay within your means. I don't imagine too many millionaires will be playing with a Farmall H like the down home folks that are hanging out here. If the guy finds someone that will pay that money, they deserve each other.
Let yours go for the fair price you set and sleep good.

Just my .02.

Asking and actually receiving are two totally different things. Asking $1,600 tells me he isn't real serious about selling them.

I have learned over the years to never ask more than something is worth, because in the end you will probably end up taking less than you could have originally got by asking a fair price. Don't ask how I know. A year from now the 1600 dollar man will still be admiring his and thinking about how much he thinks his are worth. If you are happy when you price something, you should still be happy when sold.

Mike,

why don't you ask that seller how many he'd like to Buy at HALF that price and see what he says.....hehe!

 Maybe you should have guaranteed no flat tires with yours too! That's got to be worth something.

Had that discussion on her a few days ago. Nothing wrong with a seller aiming a LITTLE high and leave some dickerin' room but, to my mind, a ridiculously high asking price is as insulting to the intelligence of those involved as is a ridiculously low offer against a fair price. In the range of where these tires ought to be, everybody should be starting somehere within $150-200 of what they'll finally sell for.

OOPs. They're rims. everybody should be within a hundred or two of each other. I think this seller is gonna get to admire his rims and boast of how valuable they are as he explains that folks shouldn't be fooled by the dust gathered on them.

I offered a neibor 5000.00 for his 77 Row Crop on steel and a Super C with a mower and plow and he told me the wheels were worth more than that. His kids sold the whole thing for scrap.

I think you right in the ballpark. Watched a set sell at auction last week for $300.00. Good shape with all the lugs.
