I been trying to find out why the red light on my tractor keeps staying on. Everything works find but why does it stay on , when it never did before. can someone suggest what cause this, and what i have to do too get rid of the red light. ? Thanks

Oil or water? If there is a problem the tractor may let you know if it is water; if oil, when the tractor let's you know it will be too late. Make SURE you have enough oil pressure. As to the light, check the sensor. I can't tell you where it is, trace the wire.

I have two light that on this old tractor one is green and the other red. The red on lit up a few days ago, which I thought was the oil . I check the dip stick but the level is fine. I check the radiator which seem to be good. maybe electic wiring problem?

Hi Dean, on 434 I believe RED light is generator not charging light. This the light on upper right of dash. From caseih.com parts:
10 894348H1 LIGHT, WARNING LAMP, generator warning (Red)

The oil pressure warning was a GREEN light just to right of tachometer:
9 894313H1 LAMP LAMP, oil pressure warning (Green)

If the tractor still has a generator, could be worn generator brushes or bad VR or broken wire or bad ground somewhere.

Hi, Dean.

As CNKS said, oil pressure is crucial. The dipstick only tells you about the volume (amount of oil in the crankcase, not the pressure) and what the oil looks/feels/smells like. So you could have a crankcase full of oil, a failed oil pump, no oil pressure, and a warning light.

Having given the dire warning, I actually think the problem is more likely with the charging system.
