Will a DT466 fit in a 1066 with a DT414

Hi there, I have recently come into the winter season and had forgot to drain the water out of my DT414 Turbo Engine in my 1066 Tractor, it split the block, my question is will a DT466 Turbo out of a 4386 fit in my 1066 Tractor. If you can please get back to me on this that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks DalePrince Albert, Saskatchewan Canada.

The blocks for a 414 and 466 of similar ages are identical. The differences between a 414, 436, qnd 466 of the same age amount to the crankshaft, pistons, fuel system and not much else.

I just recently completed a 466 swap into my 1066. I used a 1984 dt466 out of a school bus. I thought the swap was pretty easy. Good luck.

That should make an awesome tractor. 466 a GREAT engine and 1066 a great tractor.

I think the 466 had unique cylinder heads. That or it's an illusion created by looking at a 466 in a truck vs a 414 in a tractor.
