Start with #1 cylinder TDC compression stroke(both push rods will be loose).Adjust valves on that cylinder. Rotate flywheel in the direction of rotation until #5 cylinder is at TDC. (You have to watch the valve movement on companion cylinders to know when you are at TDC. Companoin cylinders are 1&6 2&5 & 3&4. So when #2 exhaust valve just closes and the intake valve just starts to open and both push rods are tight #2 cylinder is at TDC exhaust stroke and you can adjust the valves on #5 which will be on TDC compression stroke.) Adjust valves on #5 cylinder and continue to rotate the flywheel in the direction of rotation 1/3 of a turn to adjust the next cylinder in the firing order. Firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. You will be able to adjust all 6 cylinders in two revolutions of the flywheel.
