OT IH Mower Conditioner Skid shoes

My neighbor has an IH 1190 mower conditioner and the skid shoes are wearing out. He is wondering if the skid shoes from an IH 990 mower conditioner would be interchangeable with his 1190.

get you some old leaf springs cut to size, weld in place, lasts for long time.

Weld on some 3/8 steel plate.

No on the interchange. Just do what the others have suggested, and weld on some plate or old leaf springs to build up the worn spots.
