Where to find Farmall H manifold

Hello all, can anyone tell me where the best place is to find either a good used manifold for a Farmall H or an American made replacement? I tried to do a search of the forums without any real results. I noticed the store here on the forums sold manifolds but didnt know if they are made in the USA. I also found a manifold at ValuBuilt parts. I would like to weigh my options before handing out my hard earned cash. Thanks in advance! RayA

I don't think you will find any American made. Give Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch a call. Phone may be busy, he does a lot of business and is out in his salvage yard a lot, but keep trying, or leave your number. Mike is very reliable, none more honest. 785-548-7437.

I have a U.S.A made replacement on my 1951 M and also on my 1953 Super C. They are made by Vinson and the last one I obtained I think came from Marshall Tractor Parts I believe they are in Tennessee somewhere. I found them on Ebay to start with and have ordered a few other items from them also. Haven't ordered anything recently or cruised Ebay either so don't know if they are still on the site or not. Good luck and my Vinson's are good fits and I believe somewhat improved over the original IH ones in performance if that means anything. Hal

I purchased a new Vinson made in USA manifold for my '51 H two years ago from Carter and Gruenewald Co. It won't have studs to mount the carburetor like the original. Instead, there will be slots in the flange to accept H and SH carburetors, so you will have to use bolts. Still, it is a good product. Also, if you even remotely suspect the 2" pipe on your old one isn't in top condition, purchase a new one and be done with it for another 50 years.

I would like to thank everyone for the quick replies. This will give me some good ideas to work with. I think I will persue the good used route first but it is good to know that there are domestic made replacements to be had. Thanks again everyone! You are what makes these boards so great!
