tractor vet - water pump pulley

So the water pump on my Hydro70 gas started leaking. It was the original one and had the pulley pressed on to the shaft. the replacement pump has a pressed on flange for a bolt on pulley. Where do I get a pulley? Tried putting the pulley on in place of the flange but the housing is bigger and the pulley won't fit over it and still turn.

Bruce: Only one thing to do with bad water pumps these days, remove unit from tractor complete with pulley and trade it for a rebuilt. They are turning them out for less than the cost of parts, even given the fact you break nothing.

I have not run into that one yet , maybe because nobody around here has a Hydro and that is something only on the hydo's

I always threw that welded to hub pressed on pulley and put on hub for bolt on pulley and used pulley for 656 or 706 which ever one was correct size. Made life much easier for rebuilding the pump next time as they usually needed it again some time in the future. Time spent removing that pulley with out distorting it wasn't worth it .
