Hi all, I have searched this site and all others till mu=y eyes croossed and can/t find the answer, here's my question the s/n on the engine as stamped
FAA M G 258676 is this a 113 engine? and what year would it be?

MNGB: Yes, it was a C-113 engine from the factory. It could have been changed to C-123 over the years. Many of these tractor have been rebuilt a few times by now, and your engine will take the larger sleeves and pistons. I know of one tractor on it's 6th set.

Another matter on a SA, especially as they get into the 50s, engine serial numbers are much larger than tractor serial numbers. Your tractor was probably very close in 1948. After 1950 you almost have to have tractor serial number to be accurate on year. That pretty well applies to all models.

Thanks Guys, I was just wondering about what year the engine was and if it was a 113 CID was sure it was. This engine is in my B and I knew it wasn't a B engine as it has the pad for a Hyd pump and by the FAA stamped on it. My B it pretty much a made up tractor I know the s/n thats on it is not original as the seat and brackets have been changed (I have maybe the original S/N) but it makes no difference to me as the engine is a SA etc. I repainted and repaired it as needed runs great looks great and I like it.
Thanks again
