Consistent Misfiring on one cylinder places suspicion on the engine needing to be rebuilt. Before doing so, try putting a tuneup on the engine, including new plug wires and dist cap, and valve adjustment. Getting it right can make a difference. Swapping plugs from one hole to another can lengthen the time of service on them. But it is a bandaid for using oil and fowling plugs. JimN
