Farmall H and M question

I am rebuilding a Farmall H. I want to put pressed steel wheels on it but I am told that the M's and the H's never came with pressed steel wheels. Is this true? Could it have been ordered from factory this way? I just wanted something a little different than everyone elses.

It is true that they never came with pressed wheels, even as an option. Only with the cast steel you see below, or a variety of all-steel whhels. I have seen some H's and M's with pressed wheels, but they were used for pulling competivly.

Not from factory. Also ruins the appearance, and maybe the value.

If you want them, they can be made up. The puller forum is a good place to find out the model numbers and brand of the parts. I think Oliver wheels and IH hubs from certain utility tractors with bolt on wheels work. It will not be original. Jim

Hs and Ms use different sized axles and are not interchangeable at all. Jim
