Torque Amplifier repair

Before I go to far I want to see if anyone can give me insight to what all is involved with fixing the torque amplifier. When engauged the tractor stop moving. this is on a IH 340 Utility
 
On the Farmalls, you need to do what is called a "double split" to get the TA unit out of the tractor. First split is at the engine/bell housing seam. Second split is behind the TA section.

Once that center section is out you can remove the TA and repair or replace it. On yours, I believe the part called the "ramp and rollers" is shot.

You need splitting stands to hold the tractor up and a cherry picker to lift the TA section out.
 
When you finally get the t/a out. Replace the ramp, rollers have the carrier turned or replaced. Replace the 138 needle bearings in the sungears, The oil seal and bearings in the carrier, and the outer seal by the ta clutch. Have any questions feel free to email me. If it has control linkage similar to, say, a 350 Utility, the first thing to do is make sure the linkage is adjusted STRICTLY according to the manual. (Close doesn't count.) You don't want to split your tractor because of a misadjustment; you may get lucky.
