IH 300-350/400-450

At what year or serial number did IH paint the grill and name plate background white on the 300-350/400-450 series tractors? Was it just the 350/450 series or was it some of both?

that should have been in 1956 when the -50 series came out they had white . look at btm. of page same question.

Look at Farmall 400 post down below for several answers. Don't know if anyone mentioned that the white on the hood sides wasn't paint originaly.

All 300 and 400 tractors were all red from the factory. All 350 and 450 tractors were red with white panels and grills from the factory. Actually the white panels were decals. If you see a 300 or 400 with white paint, it was either painted later by a individual owner or a dealer to make them look like the new tractors.
