Water pump and tire pressure

How much grease for the 2 zerx fittings on the water pump so I dont blow seal. Also what would you recommend for tire pressure on 15.8 tires on an M. No ballast or weights on the tires. Just used for parades and shows Henry

2 strokes on the pump zerks is good as stated below.
I would equalize the pressure to Old's 12psi, then put masking tape on 4 tread bars covering the whole contact surface. (2 on each tire on adjacent tread bars one outer and one inner)
Then i would drive it for a quarter mile at parade speeds, on pavement. Looking at the tape then indicates if too much pressure is in them (tape worn on middle of tire only), or too little (tape worn in spots on the outside, or irregularly). Adjust pressure accordingly. JimN

12-15 PSI in rear tires is good. My dad always said if you don"t have a gauge, inflate the tires until the edge of one of the lugs just comes up off the ground. That is the method I used when I was a kid, and when I started using a gauge, I found that method usually got you right around the 12-15 PSI range.

Over greasing the bearings should not cause seal damage. The lip of the front seal should be installed so that it faces forwards to seal out any debris that may be blown in from the fan. The rear seal faces forwards also so if you over grease it the grease will be forced out the front seal with no damage, just a mess.

The other zerk greases the impeller shaft and bushing. Since the front of the bushing is sealed with the packing, over greasing that one will force grease into the cooling system. Only grease that one enough until the pressure builds up, often less than a full stroke.
