Farmall H - pulling engine build

Hey guys,
I've got an early H with a stuck cylinder that I'm just beginning to work on and need some help. At the very least I want to build it to Super-H dimensions; I'd like to go bigger but I need some help. Stroking the crank isn't an impossiblity but I'll probbly stick with increasing the bore only to save money. I'd like to get the cam reground and also do some headwork.
1. What's the largest bore I can go to with off-the-shelf components?
2. Where can I get the parts?
3. Does anyone know a machine shop in the San Antonio area that likes doing this kind of work?

Thanks,
Clint

Bore the cylinders? They are removable, so I don't think you can bore them out. I could be wrong, but I thought I read that in here.

you will have to bore the block to except the super h sleve 3 1/2". without boring 3 7/16". you can run them with no sleeves and no borign and run the super h piston. you can go larger 350 piston are 3 5/8" and are possible if you have a really good block. you can get the parts right here. and any good machinest will be able to do what you want to acomplish.

there are some more tricks also, governer work, or m&w governer, steped head pistions, might want to look into having a flywheel made so you can turn some more rpms, just a thought. also look into finding a lp head for a 300 or 350

The H-SH have a dry sleeve or a can sleeve.
If you run with out a sleeve you need to make a ring or something to fill the in the ridge at the top of the cylinder.
Check with Chads or CliffS on the pulling page on this site and the can fix you p pretty good!

For cam work, I used BerryCams, and they made what I wanted right on the money. When buying the pistons, I went through Volbracht's and got a nice set of Arias pistons for my M with a 50 cc dome. I imagine they could get you a nice set for your H, just have your info handy. They were very nice people to deal with. The pistons were pricey, but you get what you pay for. Save your nickels and do it right the first time. It's always cheaper than doing it twice. Chad on the pulling forum seems to always have good advice, freely given. I'm sure he could point you in the right direction.

Build the engine but also build the parts like i said to like the governer. there is extra power to be had!
