660 trans/rear

How strong is the rear and trans of a 660? I am interested in one here, and don't know much about them. Would this big horse be something to fool with, or are they a problem child. I just want a tractor somewhat larger than my M to put on the disc, and to pull once in a while.

The main difference between a 560 and 660 is the planetary hubs. Differential gears are slightly different. Injection pump is set for 2400 rpm vs 1800 rpm on the 560. 80 hp vs 60 hp.

Don't consider W-6 gears. They will speed up the tractor. Your only option for a slower tractor is the IH low-low first gear for M and SM.
