140 high crop

Seen a 140 high crop tractor for sale today. Futhermore, the engine was offset to the left side. Usually i think these tractors are rare. Does anyone know how many they made like this or what it might be worth? Thanks for any information.

Steiger: Probably 5,000 to 7,000 built. They are not rare. Engine is always offset to left side. Depending on condition price can vary wildly. Usually not a lot more than regular 140 in same condition. They are also more popular in some areas than others. But then so are regular 140s.

I guess two or more guys at an auction, will tell you more than we can.

One other thing is the earlier 140 Hi Crops with the 560 type styling is less common than the later version.This style was made from 1958 -1963 and finding a decent grill and shroud for these is a hard thing to do.

I've seen several sell around here for $3k in decent running shape.
