Any body know what this is? It came out of South Texas. I suspect that the crop (Milo,Corn,Hay?)what cut and raked and then this thing loaded it into a wagon. It is part of a reversed SM in another post. It doesn't have a cutter on it and has a canvas conveyer belt that runs it up and spits it out the top some 12-15' above ground. It is powered by a PTO shaft that come for a gear box in palce of the belt pully assembly. This this have any value?
It's here because it's part of a SM. I will post it also at implement alley.

Well, I tried to find my brochures but, as usual, the ones I seek are hiding because they are being sought. I must thank you for prompting me to search, though. I found a brochure I've been looking for for two weeks! Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, they were first made by Oswalt Ind. in the early '50s. Butler bought out that line in the early '60s. They were built for fast unloading of silage pits & made for any tractor. The "rolling baskets" on the boom are for gathering the packed silage. The silage drops down to the conveyor & up to an awaiting truck or wagon. Really neat machine!! There's one on an 8N I've been considering for a few years. It's a forward facing setup. Might have to pick up on it, now that I'm buying a chopper. If your keeping the Ensiloader, dilligent searching on ebay may produce a manual or two. Brochures are more common. Hope this helps. Take care - Mike
