What is the 407 ci engine like? I understand it is a dry sleeve engine. How good were they? Were they decent on fuel? What were they like for power? Do they start OK? Would this be a doable fit for a 2-150 White. Good tractor but the engine is a dog. How hard would it be to find a good one?
Thanks Bruce

B Reimer: Since 407 was one of the best engines IH ever built, I expect you'll not find them plentiful. I would think a 466 out of a truck would be a much easier find.

I can't tell you what you will encounter trying to install either in a 150 White. I'm not that familiar with a 150, however the design of most White's should make them a candidate for numerous brands of engines.
