M farmall belly pump

How much oil does the M farmall belly pump hold and is there a check level plug for it? I have a service manual but it does not say anything about the belly pump.

Pump holds 6 qts. There is suppose to be a dipstick with a washer attached to the top of it under the fill cap. If it is missing you can make one out of a piece of steel welding rod or heavy wire.

Don't be surprised if you find the dipstick in the belly pump. Lot's of them fell off the washer and are laying quietly in the reservoir patiently waiting to see the light once again.
