farmall seat spring

I just traded for a farmall h,the seat spring was not up to the task of supporting my less than svelt body.I did what i usually do with any old tractor problem I have,check the"tractor boards".I found a post where a foot ball was put in the spring for more support.it works great, farmer engineering at it"s best. I would like to thank everybody here as well as yesterdays tractor for making such a cool place possible john

Originally, there were 4 different springs with weight ratings ranging from light duty for a very small operator up to a very stiff spring for the heavy duty operator. The new springs available today are all of the heavy duty description and an operator weighing in at over 250# will not bottom it out.

And if you only weigh 160# You need to sit deep in the seat or not use anew spring!!!
