886 ih missing

have a 886 with the 358 german diesel ,tractor runs and starts great except it starts to cut out miss, over 1700 rpms ,just like its getting shots of fuel ,,i have changed all filters bleed lines ,,anyone have any ideas on what i need to do thanks very much

I would check the static timing and if that is where it belongs I would check the automatic advance on the timing. Need a window on pump to do this. Fuel pressure increases as rpm increases and controls the auto advance so if advance is not correct you would need to test fuel pressure.

I would check fuel flow from the fuel tank thru the fuel filters. Could be starving for fuel.
