Tractor will not move

International 504..was cutting with bush hog...Tractor just stopped..hydraulic work fine...Tractor would try to stall out forward or backwards..Never smelled clutch or anything..Have drained transmission no metal..If you try to move now you hear a rattle and will move just a little on level ground,any incline it will stop..give it move fuel and you hear the rattle...any ideas???

It soundl like you may have it locked in two gears. Remove the shift lever and work the shift forks with a big screwdriver and see if that frees it up to move.

Could be a blown clutch disk (sudden loss of drive)
The hub can break and it will just stop. JimN

if its stuck in 2 gears it will stall when you let out clutch. if its a blown clutch disc it it will do nothing.you dont say if you were shifting gears or what. just that tractor stopped. and that it wants to stall. not getting the whole picture here.
