Was using my 300u for about an hour today mowing. Got done and shut it off. Went back out an hour later to put it away, and all I get is click. Thought maybe battery ran down, but it was charged. Pulled the starter off, and it worked fine. Put it back on and had my neighbor pull me around the yard while I popped the clutch a few times. Got nothing, motor feels like it is locked up tight. Now it ran fine when I shut it off, I come back an hour later and it"s locked up tight? I"m very confused and need help!!!

I hope no one put sugar in your gas tank. Many years ago someone put sugar in the gas tank of my cousin's 1965 Ford 352V8 at a local country dance. He drove the car home after the dance but next morning the engine was locked up solid. Could not turn engine over with a long wrench on the crankshaft. Had to replace engine with one from a wreck.

Check the fuel to see if someone sugard it, But im not sure otherwise what could have caused that? was there enough coolant in it maybe the engien got to hot and fused the rings to the sleves? other then that im honestly not sure

Starter probably jammed on the ring gear when you went to start it. Loosen the bolts that hold the starter and you'll probably hear it retract. Happens a lot with old Farmalls.

If you pulled the plugs and it still does not turn, the issue may be the PTO. If they go bad it can lock up the engine. JimN
