Finally found! Front wheels for my H!

I got adjustable front wheels because I couldn't find the older clamp style, which is what I really wanted. Turns out, my local tractor junk yard has a whole area across the highway from them that I never knew about!! They've got tons of MDs, and 1 or 2 H's. I found remenants of an H wide front with the clamp style wheels on it! WOO HOO! They are going to pull them and come up with a reasonable price for them, or if they will trade me for my adjustables (which are in better condition)

Looking at these wheels, [b:7d2901c1da]do you think they can be restored to show quality?[/b:7d2901c1da] I haven't tackled this much rough rust yet, so I am worried.

Ah they arent that bad. Some sandblasting, prime and paint and they will look like new again.

Cast centers can be retored, but those rims are toast. You know me I do the impossible, but that's insane. SHould be easy to find a 16 inch rim. Look for 47-48 ford.Remove centers. Or just new ones from wheel mfg.

Awesome! I was very happy to get them for you. The girl at the uniform store gave me a funny look, and then looked at my Aircrew wings on my uniform. He eyes said "Hey stupid, you wear the other kind!" I told her they were a retired friend. :wink:

Disappointing about the rims. I'll ask if they have any 47-48 Ford rims that would be usable. If not, new ones will be expensive. I'll have to look for usable used ones... which means the search continues.

*sigh*
