I have a 3 pt hitch IH sickle mower with no markings. Looks very similsr to a model 100, but is obviously earlier. When I lift the tractor 3 pt hitch, it puts the mower in a bind and bends the mower hitch pins on the side. Does the arm off the mower front (with the round piece on the end of the arm) go over or under the tractor lift arm? Any idea what model this mower is? It"s a 7 ft mower?

That's some pretty sketchy info, but the model 100 was a balanced head trailer mower. If by looking similar you mean that it is a balanced head mower in 3 pt then it should be a #130. Having said that, it is one of the few I have not seen or used...not having a lot of 3 pt tractors around...so the best I can do is speculate on the model number for you.

I owned a #100 (fasthitch) mower for several years and later bought a 9' # 1300 which is 3 pt. On the #1300, the piece that you are talking about goes under the left hand 3 pt arm of the tractor and lifts the bar when you raise the tractor's 3pt. There is a chain that attaches to it to adjust the height of the mower bar's lift.

Hope that helps.
