How much difference are there in a tranny of a C Farmall than an A Farmall, will the parts interchange? Thanks

No, the wheels on a C are bigger, thus the gears gears on a C have a different tooth count than the ones on an A. The AV has 36 inch rears, as does the C. IH did not change the transmission so the speeds of the AV are much faster than the A.

The actual transmission gears are the same in both the A and the C. The ring gear and pinion and the final drives are different to take into account the difference in rear end design and wheel diameters. Sid.
