Serial Plate missing but have engine number

I have a H, but the serial plate is gone. I have the engine number FBH-9833. Problem I am haveing is I can not figure out what year it is?? Can someone help or point me in the right direction.

Number FBH9833 is a 1939 if you have the complete number. Early H's had matched engine number and serial number. Later H's did not have matched numbers but they were generally close. Also look for casting numbers to verify year main components were cast, H-1938, I-1939, J-1940.

Most of the name cast numbers are a month apart, Two that come to mind quick, 9-12-K(1941),8-9-K. Not sure if motor is origanal or some other componets where changed out.
