Doesnt run dont know if it is stuck or not havent went to look at it yet. Has a sickle mower and cultivators that come with it and has rear wheel weights.

In the auction pics they didnt take one for the C so i cut it out of the background of others.

Where should i stop on it? $750??

Thanks

Personally I wouldn't go that high on a non-running tractor, but with the mower and cultivators I think it will probably go over $1,000.

"Where do you think i should stop?"

You know the point where you go to get your keys and leave for the auction...I would do my best to stop there. Kidding aside, I like non-running tractors. Have one in right now and it is a lot of fun bringing them back. But non-running tractors are only a good deal if you know the big money items are present and in working order (tires for example). They are rarely a good deal at auctions. People get too caught up in it.

Personnally I would not bid more than what I could resell for parts in case it is worse than you thought - I.E. engine. Looks like the tires are gone, and I have a C that needs tires, and I am not looking forward to replacing those. From what I find 11.2-36 tires are hard to come by used, and expensive new. I have not priced, but you could easily put $800-$900 in rear tires only. With fronts you will be close to $1000. My C runs fine, I put on new fronts last year, and rebuilt the touch control. Looks somewhat strange with new paint on the touch control, and rust on the rest, but it is a working tractor. Good Luck.

Just getting the tractor on a trailer will be its value. But if you can put 2000 into it it will be worth 1500. Implements might be as noted OK. JimN

The other guys are really dead on. The attatchents SHOULD bring more than the tractor, but they probably won't. Like the others said, auction excitement.
I would bid with this theory in mind. Weight* 4,409 lbs/2000 lbs per ton = 2.2045 tons x $120/ton = $264.54 I am all for keeping them out of the scrap yard, but sometimes you have to be reasonable, too. That is the lowest amount you will get out of your tractor minus the fees they charge for each tire. This would bring your salvage check to about $200.

* Weight as listed in "The Field Guide to Farmall Tractors" by Robert N Pripps.

A couple months back I pick up a Super "C" for $1000. The engine was stuck, had a fast hitch, 2 bottom quick hitch plow, factory front mounted snow blade, wide front, wheel weights and fair tires. I figured if need be I could part it out and get my money back. I have since put about $500 into the engine and now have it running. Looking forward to pushing show with it this winter.
